Becoming a career soldier would meant applying for officer training. I did consider this at one point but after a while I realised that I just couldn't bare the thought of being responsible for decisions that could potentially cost lives other than my own. Thus I decided to stay a lowly grunt.

The story behind my name is a pretty long one, but I'll try to keep it to the point: Back in the day when I realized my furriness and joined a certain small forum, my forum avatar (a mean-looking fox on a dark background) gave me the idea of my username which I've been using ever since. In retrospect the name's a bit clumsy by having the word "The" in it, but I'm known by that name all over the internet, so I'm not changing it anymore. I don't exactly live up to my name by being a particularly nasty vulpine, I'm actually quite friendly and positive, but I can be a real bitch of a fox if the situation calls for it.

Speaking of saving people; I'm a Fireman in the local voluntary fire brigade, so I've some experience on people-saving. It's a hobby that I started as a kid. I really like it too, because it makes me feel like I'm worth something.
