Re: A interesting question to you guys. PvA Related. (Reply)

Hello guys. Wooo, life has been busy around here. Anyways, This journal is basically a reply to everyone who replied to my last journal. More because I would be repeating myself and rather make a new journal which more will notice and read what I say.
So first thing, and a bit embarrassing. It slipped my mind when I made my last journal that I already had a set up on the subject. However, you guys did help me to rethink it and stream line it. I thank you for that. :3
One of the roots of why I asked about the idea, is because at least one of my main characters would think like this. In a scene, the character in question would be catching some Oddish to take home to prepare as food.
So on to the big subject here; How are societies arranged in PvA?
MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
Well, to start. A long long time ago before the story takes place, Pokemon where all feral (wild). Similar to another Pokemon vore game I know of (A certain game which I would like to talk about in a later Journal.), The vore ability was with the Pokemon in this time long ago too. there are also Legendary Pokemon in that time. Maybe not the same Legendary Pokemon as at the time PvA takes place, but they are there.
At that time, the Legendary Pokemon (AKA, Legendary Guardians) were the only sentient beings, and it was they who tried to keep order and guide the feral Pokemon in becoming more sentient-like. Vore was allowed in this time, since everyone needs to eat. However, a number of Pokemon started getting greedy and would over eat. Many predator Pokemon would prey upon Pokemon who were trying to become sentient. These Pokemon were a more peaceful type and didn't stand much chance against predator Pokemon. So these young towns fell prey to pred. Sometimes a whole town's Inhabitants would become fat on a single predator Pokemon's hips if said Pokemon was greedy enough. (And yes, I want to add those last bits of text to the game when it explains this. x3)
The Legendary Pokemon saw these Pokemon misusing the vore ability, so they used the ability themselves to punish those who misused it. However, there are only a few Legendary Pokemon and many more Pokemon popping up misusing the vore ability. At this rate, Pokemon would grow into a very pred-geared society. The Legendary Pokemon met and discussed about what should be done to prevent such a world. Eventually, it was decided that the vore ability would be banished. However, I won't say on how it was banished, you'll have to wait for the game to explain that. >:3 So, with the vore ability banished, Pokemon were more free to grow and befriend one another naturally, developing into more sentient beings. However, that doesn't mean every Pokemon became sentient.
In the time Pokemon Vs Aliens takes place; Many Pokemon can be considered sentient. Developing towns and cities. But despite that, there are Pokemon who prey on those lower then sentient. These preds however to not hunt Pokemon within there town/cities, but would hunt in the wild. Even still, it's only Pokemon that are like fruit or can be used in recipes. At least one of my characters would be one of these types of preds, but keep in mind he does so respectfully.
Some of the Inhabitants of the towns/cities have also reached a point of sentience where the thought of eating other Pokemon is taboo. Including some Pokemon that where preds in the past. It more counts on the Pokemon as a individual and how they view it.
Another thing I should mention is that not all towns will be friendly. There would be tribes or towns that have Pokemon who are still very pred-like to others, but not as bad. If they did get to a point which they were running out of control, one of the Legendary Guardians would be sure to correct that. I already have such a tribe planned for the game already.
Also, slip this in here. Maybe some Pokemon find a way in between the pred and prey line? Like lets say there is a Paras which has mushrooms on it's back. Instead of taking the whole Pokemon for food, smart Pokemon could just take the mushrooms? Same can be done with a number of other plant-like Pokemon. Just thinking in terms of using herbs like us humans do. It basically be when we take wool off sheep right?
So hows this guys? Maybe some things slipped my mind but this is the basics of it. Some of you mentioned that it does depend on how it's setup that defines the nature of if it works or not. I am approaching this subject of the game with careful thought and how adding this will effect the world which I'm designing. There's also the fact on how each of the main characters stand on this subject, and how they do in turn effect there likability.
Thanks for the feedback in the last journal and I do appreciate all of it. Any feedback on this is appreciated too. :3
