NBC You've done it again

NBC has once again found a way to lower themselves in my esteem.
No I'm not going to talk about how they edited some audio from the George Zimmerman case.
Or what passes for news on that franchise.
I'm going to get all 'graymuzzle' on yous guys.
And I'm not even going to say something about how better everything was in the 'old days'.
It's what NBC didn't do.
One would have thought they would have taken this opportunity to, 'Toot their own horn', Puffed up that battered Peacock, and bragged a bit.
About what? You might ask.
The 60th anniversary of:
January 1, 1954
The First Coast to Coast Colorcast
The Tournament of Roses Parade
And NBC did it!.. Ok, there was only about 200 color TV's in the world, but still it was the first.
So today I anxiously turned on my flat screen and was prepared to be impressed with a historical piece about said first 'Colorcast'......
Nope, didn't happen.
I guess if I was NBC I wouldn't want to remind everyone about the 'golden age' of television.

*shrugs* I came a long a WEE bit later than that
During the big holiday meals, it would be turned on with the sound turned down.
My the time the meal was over the colors had stabilized.
