What's a good entry-level art tablet?

My resolution about trying to get back into art might come true. I'm getting gifted an art tablet of my choice! Question is, what's a good tablet to get for a girl who has never used an art tablet before? PC user.

Recommendations, please!

Looking for Rufa and Transryu, last seen at DeviantArt.

Each artist drew Dray a picture that is no longer available.  Rufa drew a picture of Draygone the raccoon-dragon, Transryu drew a bat costume transformation.

If any of you know their whereabouts, please let us know.
