Recently I have been commissioned to illustrate a book... awesome right? ... there will be 10 illustrations each being half a page or more and in comic strip form... im being paid $50 per page so $500 in total then when the book is published and should it take off then i get royalties and such.... I am supposed to be drawing some characters up then the guy in charge and I would go over them and see if he likes them then we talk over and sign a contract...

~BUT~
I have been doodling and doodling and doodling and Ive got nothing! T_T this is a christian book pretty much on how to be a better christian and how to talk to god, it will be a book for adults not children and the guy in charge... the author... has so much passion about it all and is a very religious person where me I was raised catholic but I couldn't tell you the last time I went to church or even cared to and I really have no interest in this book at all so I think that is what is holding me back on drawing these characters because I am just not feeling it at all.... I have been debating calling the guy and just saying I cant do it BUT it would be a big opportunity for me specially if the book actually took off though I really dont see many buying it :/ I just dont know what to do..
