*holds his head and groans*

I'm seriously trying not to have a stupidity aneurysm over here, but it is growing increasingly difficult with each passing comment that I read.
I've been watching this tournament over on Deviantart, Pokemon battling, where people look at the move pools, the arena, and other factors, and then vote on who they want to win. Honestly, most people don't look at all these factors, they simply insert their heads firmly up their asses and vote for who they like the most. Fine, I gave up on FA and DA users utilizing logic a fair bit of time ago. There's far too much "OMG! I want to have sex with that character!" or "So and so won't let me get a picture of their character sucking my dick, I hope they die!" for anything to really be all that fair.
Friend of mine, good loveable fellow who only makes friends, enters his Pokemon sona. Now, he's a Dragonite. Almost everything else in the tournament is unevolved, baby Pokemon, etc. You know, stuff you wouldn't put in an arena with a Dragonite. And on top of that, he has a competitive battle build built to actually perform, as opposed to a lot of people's build, which is "OMG! I'M A FIRE TYPE, MY MOVES ARE BURN A, BURN B, BURN C, AND BURN D!"
People, you knew before entering that it was a battle tournament. "OMG, I walked into the middle of a firing range and got shot in the head! How dare they use guns when all I brought was a pointy stick! Cheater cheater cheater!" I mean, it's common sense. You're going into a battle tournament, come prepared to battle and don't get upset when the person who beats you is more prepared than you.
So this sets the basis for a lot of the stupidity that is grinding on my last nerve.
People will pull at every single last straw for trying to shoot down my friend. I don't understand why people decide to pull out hateful terms like "faggot" over not being able to utilize "Herp-a-derp popularity power!" to win in the face of logic. And it's allowed. The person running the tournament has never once said "Hey, you can't call him a faggot", "Hey, you really shouldn't call him an overpowered piece of shit." I can understand wanting to stay neutral, but at the same time... you think stuff like this is even remotely acceptable?
I recently got hated on A LOT and attacked over calling someone the term 'popufur'. I can understand how some people use it as hate speech. Me, personally, I don't. I went to the person that I 'hurt' and spoke to him, I don't even think he really knew I existed or was hurt in the least, but regardless, I explained myself, we talked things over, and he's actually a really cool guy. That's one thing. The meanings of 'faggot' and 'piece of shit'... they don't change. They mean the same damn thing, no matter who says them. And people are just... sitting by and letting this happen.
To top things off, my buddy has some pretty strong evidence that things were intentionally stacked against him (and by strong evidence, I mean the PERSON IN CHARGE TELLING HIM OVER SKYPE). "Hey, this was intended to hurt you, this was intended to hurt you, and I did this to hurt you! Good luck!" So... he comes prepared for the situation at hand and gets penalized for it because no one else did? That's like holding a football tournament and all but one of the teams show up in their underwear, so in order to make things fair, you tell the one team that is in full regulation uniform that they have to strip down to their socks. Gah!
But this isn't all that's bothering me. One of the other contestants is popular. Like... SUPER popular. And he lost, thanks to the fact that he's an Electric type with THREE Electric moves and a Steel move, who went up against a Ground type with THREE Ground moves (INCLUDING Earthquake) and a Rock move. To me, that seems reasonable. People are sitting there going "Well, if Pikachu can use Thunder on a ground type, so can this Pichu! He'll win for sure!" So. Much. Stupidity. Overload.
I've done my best to vote every match . On the Pichu's previous match, one lovely fan of his decided to go around and verbally harass everyone who voted against the Pichu. Now that the Pichu's lost, there are tons of comments where people are moaning that he lost. Like... seriously. They're calling bullshit that a Sandshrew with the most powerful Ground move and a STAB bonus beat the Pichu with a full arsenal of "Oh, my opponent is immune to that." There's several comments with "I call bullshit on that last match! He should have won because he's cuter and I say so!" My personal favorite? One person is so upset that he lost, that they claim in the comments to put a gun in their mouth and pull the trigger. Are you even TRYING to be reasonable at this point?
Why must you people make so much sense!!! Of course, logic be damned, common sense be damned, let's all have a good time and run around with tin foil on our heads!!!
I swear.... This blood trickling down from my left ear is totally normal and healthy.

FA+

Many on dA will tend to have an FA account or a secret one. I've seen stuff almost just as bad in some of the FA tournaments.
It isn't.
Should Coshi have randomed the arena, there is a 95% chance that I wouldn't not get the Inverse arena, and yes, I would stomp Arma, because the guy have 3 ground type moves, and a bad rock type move that need like 3 or 4 attacks to do considerable damage (Assuming it doesn't miss and you survive) and it's a sandshrew AND it has a generally useless berry.
But it's his fault for chosing that moveset, not mine. You don't need 3 ground moves, just one. And you need the best rock type move, not a bad one, for example. And not a bad berry that just cure one ailment, but a berry that cure all.
That said, at this stage he made a big mistake and he should be punished for it, not rewarded for it. The organizer shouldn't cheat to allow him to win, just because he's bad. If I have to win, so? Coshi perhaps should make a little cup and a normal cup instead.
In other things, I personally tutored domino movesets, should domino have been in the other side of the list, I would be battling the finals against him instead.
Seriously, there's a reason there was a mass exodus away from that place to here...
