Okay, so for those of you who are not members of the Heat of the Night forums, this might not matter much to you. Or maybe you're just curious and want to read this any way. If that's the case, feel free! ^.^
Okay, so it has been about a week or so ago since this happened, but I finally got off my butt to post a journal about this. There was a brief window of time in which
rainbowjokerhound was offering up her character, Serenity, to someone who wanted her. I vied for her and ended up getting her (much quicker than I ever could have expected), much to my delight. So yes, rainbowjokerhound has given me Serenity the Jolf (Jackal/Wolf hybrid).
Now, why would I want to take on someone's character? I usually don't to be honest, especially if I don't know what I would do with them at the time since my art form of choice is writing and roleplaying. However, Serenity's design is delightfully intriguing and I already have a couple ideas on how to integrate her into the RPing forums I'm a part of. So yes, she won't go to waste now that I've taken her into my roster of characters.
There is one thing that I want to make clear, and it is something that I and rainbowjokerhound has agreed upon. Even though I own the character now, Serenity is STILL the half-sister of TPM (Jokerhound's primary character). This has not changed and never will regardless of where and how she's used.
So! What are my plans for her? Well, start RPing her of course! But when? On January 1st (or 2nd, depending on my plans for the 1st). It seems fitting that she gets a new start at the start of the new year. I'm very happy to have Serenity, and you can be sure she won't be shelved.

My favourite colours...
See, because animals age faster than humans, there's this concept of counting their physical and mental ages two years more than their chronological age. So, for example, Serenity. She's fifteen, but in terms of maturity she's 17 going-on 18. This is actually a rule I go by with most of my characters to be honest. It's something I picked up when I joined the fandom, so I'm kind of stuck in my ways in that respect ^^;
I dunno... I just always imagined that we were kinda... I dunno, just born differently... like a mutated gene inside us that humans didn't have that made us... prettier. LOST prettier in your case
