Great news on truck!

FINALLY! Today, me and my dad set about on figuring why the truck wouldn't start yesterday. We removed the oil pump and spindle, distributor and valve-rocker cover and made sure they were all in the right position before trying again. Several failed attempts led us to rewire the spark plug leads and check, double-check and triple-check they were all in the right place. After about five hours of struggling to start it, it fired into life! Only trouble was - it was like the accelerator was hard-on. Turned it off again and figured out why - two nuts fitted to the back of the carburetor were not on, meaning that a massive air leak was to blame. After they were put on, it ran like a dream! This fox is back on the road again!

Glad to hear it.

Your truck must be liked by squirrels. Remember to protect your nuts from them.
