Fursona Meme - Questionaire/Study
Thought this might be fun and reflective. Gonna do it on Munashii =3
1) What made you choose the species of your main Character?
My original fursona back when I was 13 was actually part human part cat. My rp days kind of died out and when I returned to the scene I was halfway through college. At that time I felt that my old fursona didn't match me. She was subservient, quiet, shy. Nothing like what I had become, or wanted to become. Part human fursona's always resonated with me more, I felt like certain parts of me were better expressed through an animistic sort of way but I was still human and still me (sort of a wolf in sheep's clothing if you will).
When it comes down to it I think I chose a werewolf because that's what I felt like. I was still this kind nice person, and for the most part not domineering, but there was part of me becoming more and more brave everyday. Part of me that was topish in personality, outgoing, strong, sexual even. And at first I didn't mesh well with these feelings. Obviously my character had issues with her beast side at the time, but now things have smoothed out, for the most part.
2) Is your character just like you, or how you want to be?
I think my character is me, but now she's become an outlet for things I could never be or bring myself to do in in real life. Though the odd and vexing thing that in my head my fursona's human side doesn't look like me. I've actually been hard pressed to find an artist who draws my human side well since I dont have any references. And truth be told it never occurred to me that this might be odd or different till I had several people ask me why my fursona's human side didn't look like me. I guess she is something I want to become in that sense.
3) Does your character have the same personality you have?
Human side, yes for the most part. Wolf side, hell to the no. Maybe some parts of the wolf, but speaking paper to irl, no. Muna's beast is what I could never be personality wise, or at least currently don't have the ability to show.
4) Does your character have the same dislikes and likes as you do?
Yes. On all accounts yes. While Muna's wolf does things I couldn't do irl, they are thing I do like or want to do.
5) Does your character look like you at all?
Ha, I just covered this. To reiterate, no she looks somewhat different.
6) Is your character the same gender as you, if not why?
Her human side yes, her east side... well she's a non-consent character and often find herself in weird situations...
7) Do you have more then one main character?
Well I created Nana for PR reasons. Though I don't think I'd call her main, she's definitely what I present to the public and couldn't be more the opposite of Muna
8) Do you have a back story for your character, if so does it have anything to do with your own history?
Yes, she does have a back story and some things are similar to my life, playing flute, living in Hawaii, etc. Other things aren't like being a flute teacher or becoming a werewolf (obviously). Sadly, in order to pay off student loans I work as a carpenter apprentice and barely see any of the money I make. :(
9) Is your character mated, if so is it to your real life significant other?
Nope, shes a slave usually in rps. But, I have a girlfriend irl. :)
10) If not are they looking for a mate, or are they a swinger so to speak?
Not really. Long term rps are usually hard to keep going and due to my location and schedule, are hard to organize.
11) Is there something special about your character that you think sets them apart from others?
Nope, just your average 500lb gorilla style werewolf, nothing odd about that. /sarcasm
Actually, I don't find a lot of were-(wolf/cat/dragon) characters out there. They're there for sure, but definitely a lot less of them then normal fursonas. Also, I have to be keen to tell people or point out that she is built like a silver back. She's semi feral, so walks on all fours (like a great ape), but when needs can walk on two legs - think skyrim werewolves.
12) Do you have much art of your main character?
Finally yes~! I just recently got into the whole commissioning art thing for my sona.
13) Would you ever consider parting with your main character, if so why?
Highly doubtful unless I'm being offered a ton of money. Mostly because she is me and it'd be hard to imagine her any other way. Would you see Lana Parilla stepping down from being the Evil Queen in Once Upon A Time? No, they'd sooner cancle the show. Its just weird having someone else play, and try and look like, you.
14) If you suit, do you have a suit of your main character?
No, but god, I'd give my right titty to have a suit of her. I want to do a semi realistic suit and either go all out and get a body suit one, or just get a full suit digitigrade style >w<, but really I want one soooooooooo bad. I doubt, with my finances the way they are, I'll ever be able to afford one.
15) Have you ever role-played with your main character, or do you prefer not to?
All the time. In fact I don't rp with many other characters. I rarely make new characters.
16) Do you consider your main character to be a part of you in any way?
If you're still reading this you know the answer, but for those who like to skip around I'll give a shortened answer.
Yes and no. She is what I could never be or express in real life, yet she is me from real life. She is a multifaceted character who's complexity mirrors my own. And to be able to have such a lovely wild and vivid imagination, and such a great creation of my own, I am thankful.
