I never write journals on this site; in fact, it had been so long since I'd posted my first and only journal until now (about Twitter) that I actually couldn't find where to go on the site to post a new one. Guess that says something about FA's design. =P
Anyway, there's this fursona meme going around that I found kinda interesting, so I figured I'd give it a shot. Note that unless I say otherwise, this info applies to toki (not Charlie or Frank).
What made you choose the species of your main fursona?
Reptiles are my favorite type of animals. I've raised reptiles pretty much all my life, up until about a year and a half ago, when my bearded dragon Alan Woo kicked the bucket. (No pets now as I don't really have the time to take care of them properly.)
Regardless, you don't see a lot of straight-up reptiles in the fandom (if you don't count dragons in that category), and certainly not many lizards are to be found, either. toki actually didn't even start out as a lizard -- he was some sort of nameless creature with ears, a pointed tail, and three stripes across various appendages, most notably the nose/snout. Over time, I molded him into a more lizard-like character and added some reptilian features (claws, forked tongue, etc.) to bring him to the kind of goofy leezurd he is today.
Does your fursona have the same personality you have?
More or less. I don't see him as being drastically different from myself in that regard.
Does your fursona have the same dislikes and likes as you do?
Yes.
Does your fursona look like you at all?
We dress much the same, although toki's in better shape than I am in real life. Whatever, doesn't every furry do this? =P
Is your fursona the same gender as you, if not why?
Human dick? Check.
Lizard dick? Check.
...and for the "that's not what gender is about" crowd:
Acts/feels/behaves masculine? Check check.
Do you have more then one main fursona?
I have three characters I could use interchangeably--toki, Charlie and Frank--but I never really act out any characters other than toki online. Charlie materialized fairly soon after toki, but Frank was a late addition, coming into existence maybe a year or so ago as a design I eventually wanted to turn into a fursuit. I haven't done much with Frank, honestly speaking. Charlie was always an auxiliary character to toki, and in much of my old sketches and artwork, he was more of a buddy or companion to toki, not really another form of the same character.
Is your fursona mated, if so is it to your real life significant other?
No, although the porn in my gallery would suggest that toki and Charlie are some sort of item. They certainly... ahem, seem to like each other quite a bit. =)
(I am dating someone in real life who is not active on this site.)
If not are they looking for a mate, or are they a swinger so to speak?
toki has had a handful of partners, both female and male, but doesn't really fool around too much. While he does have some, shall we say, darker desires that he indulges in from time to time, he's not into one-night stands, casual dating, or random sexual encounters with other anthros. Charlie is fairly vanilla, and in practice, is really only interested in toki, although I don't see him as being exclusively into other dudes. I actually think of all my characters as bisexual.
Frank, on the other hand, is a sex machine and will fuck, or be fucked by, just about anything that gets his motor running.
Is there something special about your fursona that you think sets them apart from others?
Not really. His design is pretty simple: a big, green lizard with red stripes across his snout, two big fangs that protrude from his upper lip, pointed tail, white claws, and of course, those big, floppy ear flaps.
Do you have much art of your main fursona/s?
Of course, as a quick perusal of my gallery would prove.
Would you ever consider parting with your main fursona, if so why?
No. I'm happy in my own smooth, scaly skin, so to speak.
If you suit, do you have a suit of your main fursona?
I have an adorable suit of Charlie made by Lacy and Nick of
fursuiting. There may be some other surprises in the future.
Have you ever roleplayed with your main fursona, or do you prefer not to?
I certainly have in the past, but don't do it much these days, mostly for lack of time to do so.
Do you consider your main fursona to be a part of you in any way?
Of course. He reflects a lot of my own personal traits. I'm also cold pretty much all the time, so we apparently share some of those exothermic genes. >=D
