why dont you fave art?

Ah good one. It's certainly not from a lack of stuff I like; there are thousands of pictures a year which are awesome and would normally be in my favourites were I do it. The reason I choose not to is out of respect for friends and artists in that I don't wish to over or under promote work based on my own personal tastes. 90% of my favourites would be footpaw related in some way, with others being funny or just downright amazing art. There are lot of great pieces of art and writing, however, that I would not "fave" just because they're not my personal thing, and that's a bit of a drag for the artist who's worked hard on them, and potentially even a little hurtful if the person knows me and was hoping for one. SO... easier and more fair to simply not to it.

Could also just be that I'm old and somewhat crazy. :3

faving something and not faving another isnt hurtful for those who dont get the fav, its just a fav XD you comment on most pics anyway so faving some of them wouldnt hurt those whom you dont fave cuz you still leave comments, and thats more important to artists

That hits on another good point I should have said as well; if I like a picture, I comment on it. And when I comment, I often try to give the artist more than just a "Mm, dem paws!" You're probably right though - I doubt it would really have the possible negative impacts that I worry about. *shrugs* Ah well. At this point, it's kinda too late to change anyway - if I were to start faving now, I'd end up spamming FA with thousands of things. XD

Did you get a nice holiday time? What did you receive?

I had a good holiday, thanks for asking. ^_^ It seemed much too brief, but it was filled with good times with family and friends. My mate's daughter, husband and their kids came so we made the dinner this year. Got a nice organic and free-range turkey and made up all sorts of other stuff to go along with it, including a yummy cake.

Gifts... well, I don't go usually list out all the stuff I got 'cause gifts to me are not that important. I always tell people not to get me any! I'd rather them use that money for others or themselves rather than waste it on me. What was nice is that the gifts were very thoughtful, and some were a very wonderful surprise too.

About gifts, it's somewhat the same thing with me. I've taken too much money to my parents, don't give me stuff. But they still did, though it's not a lot, but it's still good.

My holiday was nice, but I felt lonely sometimes. However, I did my best to interact with people the best I could. I'm improving slowly, but it hurts when you stay silent and watch all the people talking to each other. As for food, yeah, there were plenty of nice food, but my mother didn't make some gluten free versions of some desserts I usually love to eat and I miss having some. But overall, it was good.

Ah, the eternal curse of the introvert. We're not as apt to start conversations, hoping to chime in on them instead, but often it's easy to be overlooked since we sit there silent. Best thing to do is just inject something relevant into the conversation to join it.

So with food, do you have a gluten allergy?

Yup, I have a gluten intolerance called coeliac disease.

Aww bummer. :( At least today we're a) aware of such things and b) have good choices for gluten-free diets. Just too bad you didn't have any stuff at the gathering.

Oh, I did get some stuff cooked from my mother, though just not as much as previous years, simply. But it's okay.

Ahhh, well then that's at least some good news on the desert front. :)

Oooooh. Otters are super cute - and I've seen some awesome pics here on FA of anthro otter paws. I think they're really sexy, and I like the webbing between the toes too.

*laughs!* I had to look that up. I didn't know Nuuk was actually a place. So um... answer to that, I think Nuuk as in my Nuuk - doubt I'd find another Orca like him all of Greenland. ^^;
