Time to get out of my comfort zone

I think it’s time for me to get out of my comfort zone. I feel like my stuff is too simple nowadays and there’s always a lack of detail in my final works. Like my sketches and completed pencil works always have detail. However, when it comes down to lineart and coloring, there’s always little to no detail.
This is why I don't get much recognition. My style is just not appealing to anyone.
I really want to get into digital painting, gradient shading, and soft shading. Can anyone link me some tutorials please?

Ctrlpaint.com is a good site to start on gives you all the basics for digital painting.

there a few more, but i need to find it. sycra helps too for the understanding of art form the more beginners also. I watched his speed paints a lot to help learn Photoshop tech. and apply those to paint tool sai a little.
