In all seriousness, we need Uncle Kage to do one of those. He is the only person that I would truly trust to bring about redemption for furries everywhere.

It wouldn't matter. The execs of the show would just get the editing done to screw over whatever he says. They ALWAYS pup a spin on these things.

I would much rather see 2, the Ranting Gryphon on Dr. Phil. Then the show might be worth watching.

If only Stan Sakai didn't regard himself as a "furry". He'd be sure to spoil Phil's hopes for turning things into a freak show.

IMO, even if no furries do show up, Phil will just hire some "ringers" to act like what they think furries are.

Let the TV jerks do what they think they need to, but it's certainly not like they needed the extra encouragement. Ah, humans, such a lovely bunch sometimes...

I have a bad feeling about this.

First off, Dr. Phil is the show where people with legitimate problems get paid to talk about them for entertainment value to a man who is not the least qualified to help or diagnose them, instead of going to a real mental health care professional who can help them. No matter what anyone says, no matter how professional they seem to be, he will try to turn the entire furry community into nothing more than a sign of deeper mental issues.

Secondly, I wouldn't want to be known as that furry that screwed things up on Dr. Phil for everyone else. It wouldn't really be that person's fault, but that's generally what happens in these situations.

Pretty much this. The reason Dr Phil is so big right now is because Oprah had him on her show constantly and would promote him everywhere. And, you never want to disagree with the big O. >.>;

Yeah. There's been some change with media in showing a more positive light. But for the most part, this is a cry for something to gawk at and make fun of. Who cares if people will get hurt by it. :/

*hugs* Don't be afraid. Just be you, and stay proud of yourself. I say so what if someone thinks we're a bunch of freaks--heck, there's TONS of freaks out there--but we're a NICE group of freaks ;) I long since gave up caring if folks liked the same things I did or looked warily at whatever 'thing' I was 'into' at the time...I'm a proud fur and I wanna see you gimme some tailwags! ;) (unless your fursona has no tail, in wihch case...well...I dunno...clap???
