Apparently anyone who really makes a comment about it gets their comments hidden, journals deleted, and some have gotten suspended. It's not my place to go on about things I don't really know about either.

As far as I can tell, there are some questionable people on the FA staff, and things have come to light. This is the RECENT reason why people are choosing to leave.
For me, my problems with FA stem earlier than this. The week downtime really opened my eyes to some things concerning the staff, and I just personally don't like it. Recent stuff is just a cherry on top. I don't want to support this place, but unfortunately it supports me. @3@

A broken site is run by broken folks. Yet instead of fixing the problem.....we go to another shiny toy.

For the record, people have been complaining about this site and it's lack of update for years.
Anyone trying to offer help gets ignored. Anyone who makes a fuss gets quieted. Anyone who tries to advertise other sites gets removed.
They have made promise after promise for updates, and none have really shown up. Maybe they're trying to turn a new leaf? Who knows? I'll believe it when I see it. I also can respect people not wanting such a person in a spot of power, and that's why people are upset.

Either that or conjure up a demon to each of the admins housew and let hell break loose.

But off site talk has resulted in bans before. The admins change the rules for what they want. KaylaNa got banned for a off site blog concerning issues.
They were taking about being transparent with users in the journal and proceeded to hide comments, remove journals and ban people. That isn't transparency.
While peeps have waited months for tickets to be done the slightest talk or concerns about a staff member is dealt with instantly.

I hope this was the final straw for people.
