No penis-in-anything sex is allowed for legal reasons. And latex is everywhere. And it's not an orgy, so it doesn't really matter. The bdsm is primarily the reason people show up; folks can just as easily stay home or go to a hotel if all they want is sex.

It's a safe space for queer, kinky people to meet and socialize as queer, kinky people tend to do :) Much furs going to cons to be furs. Or sporting fans going to sporting events, etc.

I live close, and we're really, really exclusive with each other. So there's really no good reason to go to play parties - hence we don't.

We did go to BiB a few times, though I don't think we'll make it this time.

The socializing is great though :) Making friends you don't have to explain kink to is awesomeeeee. Play parties don't mean you have to play. S. tends to hang out in the loungy area and snack and chat with folks we only get to see at these things.

How was BiB? I've heard about that but haven't attended before. That seems more public/workshoppy than a full play space, yes?

I really liked BiB. The queer/gay group is small, though a few people usually attend. Yes, it's a workshop, learn to do things, see demos kind of thing. They do have a play party on Saturday night, which, on all accounts, is a hoot. If you love bondage. :)

rahmi I could be off on this, but as far as I know, there's no fucking of any kind. To allow actual sex, it'd have to be a "private club". At least the parties that were described to me - and the one event here in MA that I bartended for for a while - there is bondage, there is impact play, there may be sensation and needle and wax and whatnot play, but there's no sex.
