My whole 2 cents on the whole drama thing +other sites

It's alright if you don't care but that doesn't mean you shouldn't care "completely" i've seen a lot of nasty comments from both sides and tons of bannings over people just giving their opinions (not just about zaush but about how the new site looks, and yes they have been banned for that)
I find that the people that don't care about what's going on in general don't care what FA does period. most people only use this site for porn anyway. you of course have your popular artists telling everyone to shut up or it's not a big deal with all their fans parsing them and liking their journals along with very "few" popular artists that are actually speaking up about (with again their fans agreeing with everything they say) there's a lot going on here that people aren't even aware of because everyone is so focused on one thing that's probably might or might not be true. those that actually do comment on it are being banned or suspended for it without even a warning. yet people have been doing this kind of thing for awhile but the admins are only doing work about it now because it's about a popfur and has a lot of attention right now.
It's not impossible for FA to die as all it takes is for the higher up artists to say something about it and actually request change (and joining other sites) instead of just agreeing with everything the admins do, but i don't think it really needs to come to that. It's completely alright if people want to join another site but nor do they have to leave their FA account during the process. i have seen a few artists that are leaving as i'm sure you have. it's impossible to miss all the journals about it.
i could ramble on about this for awhile but i'd rather not risk that since there are some journals being taken down and of course people getting banned for it but i'm sure you get the general idea that i'll say again. "it's alright if you don't care but do not care completely and just accept everything that's going on"
as for Weasyl i have been thinking about joining it for awhile even before all this drama happened however the drama is just helping me to make that decision faster. I will join some time soon, i just don't feel like transferring all my art there but i would like to branch out and meet more people and get known more as there are plenty of people that don't wanna use FA anymore (and inkbunny is as dead as ever unless you do cub art)
So yeah i shall have a Weasyl soon~ let me know if you have one so i can watch you and also tell me what you think about that site compared to FA~ I may also have a Facebook soon...and that's only because ps4 is pretty much forcing people to make one (and i'd also like to use my own icons) so if you do have a FB too do let me know...if i actually get a lot of people to follow me there i might actually use it seriously rather than just for video games. that way you guys can talk to me more often ;3

i guess weasyl is a really good art site?
I haven't used Weasyl much, but I just found out that it works just as good on mobile as it does on n traditional desktop/laptop. XD I'm already liking what I'm seeing and hearing about it (journals are made public by the Browse function...so if you need to get the attention of more than just your watchers...you can do that with no spamming by your friends to get others to go to your journal :D). You can also upload from a mobile device too! I could dump all of my art into Google Drive or Dropbox and upload from there on my tablet if I got lazy. :P
I'm most likely going to use it more as the time goes on this week since I don't have much to do lately.
not sure when i will really join though but it may be sometime next month if i'm not lazy enough xP

and there is a plugin somewhere that lets you crosspost submissions from FA --> Weasyl , but I dunno the name or where to find it, just heard people talking about it.
In technical and design/feature-terms Weasyl (and any other site) outclasses FA in every regard, that should be plain and obvious, even SF with its cluttered and slow design.
Glad to hear it's better in every way though~ makes me wanna join even sooner

There's also a gallery-manager that Kitashi, former FA-admin, has coded together, you can find the posts on his IB page.
The only pet-peeve I have with Weasyl is the black hover-over-thumbnail-thingy and the inability to show full-thumbnails (if it is possible, I haven't found the config yet),
but all in all like I said, most every aspect design-wise, is far superior than FA. The only aspect Weasyl lacks is a bigger userbase.
