the site i dont care abut, people i do. its not grey when there is alot of evidence of things being ignored, or justified, by site heads. simply put, i wasnt there, but with everything out there, something bad did happen, and denying or ignoring it is why its blowing up. it wasnt handled right the first time

I can't say much as I don't know an awful lot on the situation but I feel this is somewhat blown out of the water and creating a massive bandwagon effect. I honestly understand the concerns of most people but somehow it all feels childish that everyone runs away at the first sign of trouble. But maybe I'm completely ignorant to the situation though I've seen a few exodus from this site.

When you have people in position of power mass deleting comments, handing out suspensions, and flat out lying and contradicting each other about events, you know you have a problem.

When people say it's not my problem, you know you have a bigger problem.

When people just sit by and let things happen, they are giving their indirect thumbs up to keep letting it happen. Doing nothing changes nothing. If it takes everyone leaving FA to fix FA, then that's what is healthiest. But not everyone will.

All that will be left, the ones who don't care, will be the very and absolute worst of the fandom.

Even if it doesn't kill FA, this place will be as toxic as it gets. And the ones who just didn't hear about it will be stuck with them.

You won't want to stay.

People are blowing the situation WAY out of proportion. No updates have even been made yet, and people are making a million other furry accounts on other websites.

There's something of a power struggle, but that's been mostly squashed to the one side.

Zaush's behavior and his possible past is haunting him. But on top of that were people being suspended/having their comments hidden.

Now, I've not seen everything that was hidden and deleted, and some of it that I have seen looks like it was in violation of the Code of Conduct. But the reaction to it was general fear and sense of censorship, and the Staff is failing miserably to address these and soothe the community. This is mixing with strong feelings about Zaush's purported history (and sadly, the leaked PM to Dragoneer isn't the only example of this out there), and folks are feeling extremely strong about this one.

It is also compounded on whatever else any member of the community has known about FA's history, up to and including the Staff knowing about the issue in FA that caused the immense downtime a few weeks ago, the re-hiring of Chase, a fellow who used his liking of bestiality to influence his decisions as an Admin, among others.

Ugh... This is all so complicated to me. It's basically "this guy did this, this guy did that, why is he in charge, OMG animal sex??! FTS, I'm out."

I swear I'd care more if I weren't so tired.

I think what hurt more than anything else was the reaction that the Admins/Staff gave to folks who spoke up first, and spoke up LOUDLY, about the hiring of Zaush with all the drama surrounding him.

It created a panic, an feeling of fear. Generally, there's only two ways that they could have responded here: Submit to it, or try to fight back.

It would seem to me that many chose to fight.

Nah, I think it's the perfect amount of reaction. It's the same old issues that come up again, and not just one, but multiple ones. They only get partially resolved, die down slightly, and flare up again when "same ol', same ol'" rolls around. I can't blame some people for having had enough of it and going elsewhere. It's their prerogative, and each and every passing time I really can't fault most of them on their reasoning. :3

Well it's a double edge sword when it comes to this. . .it's just the fact that this was hidden for so long and now people are digging up dirt and what this can mean for everyone on the site.

A sexual predator was put in power on the site, of course people are going to get really upset, the cover ups don't help it. People will come back because there are friends here. Though, there might actually be people who will STAY THE FUCK AWAY because this particular case is much more insidious.

I'm not much of an artist or involved much at all, so what do I know :P

you know my only Beef with FA is that the site hasn't evolved by that much. and when it goes down the site is down. i think last year with all the down time it has had i would peg it as atleast half a month maybe a bit more of days where no one could post.

and also seeing what the new format could look like now. yah. but i think ive seen the people i watch leave mainly cause of stability.

Many people are being dramatic about it, but some move on until it actually does break beneath our feet. I'm just gonna continue drawing and shit.

I'm in the "doesn't care" category because I have been on FA for years and Dragoneer has always been an idiot, banning people that disagreed with him, taking down "stolen" art from people that aren't in his clique, defending his friends while shaming others, and generally sucking up to the famous furs. This sort of thing generally happens about every 2 to 3 years around here, it seems to come with the title "furry".

Moving to Weasyl wont solve the problem, neither will bitching to Dragoneer. The only way to change this is by "dethroning" dragoneer and his staff, and that won't happen. Inaction and action both have the same results in this situation.

Already have it, and that would give a monopoly to the other site.

Super Drama Engaged, Everyones Freaking out, Thigns are alittle over exposed and forever Blasted into the enxt year thanks to past issues, from both the people involved/People Involving themselves/Admins doing there usual job of Covering things up with wraping plastic And all the while nothings really getting done, It's jsut many people with many opions and how 'I think' (The people not me myself totally) Say it should be looked at/Handled and how everyone must follow suit.

Far, far too dramatic.

There's way too much that's happening at once. With so much going on behind the scenes, it's really aggravating, but all I can say on my part is that I just keep to myself until I HAVE to get involved. As long as it's not happening to me or my friends, I can't say anything overall in the matter.

Any who I made a weasyl a long time ago, and I've been enjoying tumblr but, I'm gonna keep up to date with this site until it crash and burn.

I dont kinda want to leave since its pretty much my first community, like SoFurry is for others.

i think it's dumb on both ends. im not gonna express my opinion on that alleged rape thing because no one will budge from their predetermined motions simply because of the subject matter at hand, and that's ok. everyone is free to leave at any time for any reason whatsoever. I'm not leaving FA but incase the site goes down I might get a weasly but I'm a bit iffy about it right now cause I've been hearing that the site's been getting DDoS attacks as of late.

However if Weasyl is as good as everyone else here seems to claim I'll consider it but it won't be my main stay at least not for awhile.
