Are there are good writing communities to post to?

Seriously. Are there are good *communities* where people actually interact and comment and talk to each other? 'Cause I can't find any. I get a very few, rare comments on fanfiction.net, but that's only for fanfic stuff, so better than half my work can't go there, and even then it's not ideal. AO3 is a nice setup, but it's also a ghost town, I don't get many views and I've had so few comments there total, on all my stories together, that I can count them on my fingers. And FA... eh. Even before the current issues I didn't exactly think this site was ideal for writing. The only good thing here is that some folks do actually leave me comments. Which is kind of why I post at all. If I didn't want interaction with readers, I'd just leave the stories in folders on my computer, you know?
Anyhow, any suggestions welcome.

SoFurry is geared towards writers. Well, more geared towards writers than artists, anyway. But even so, pickings are scarce there as well.

I used sofurry back when it was newish, and I really disliked it. I found it messy, complicated, very hard to use, and a kind of high percentage of what few comments I got there were really rude.

*nodnods* SoFurry isn't great by any means, but it's a hell of a lot better than FA for stories. Weasyl is relatively new still, and it's only just now actually starting to get popular, so that's not a bad place to go either if you want to build popularity in the long term.

I uploaded a bit of story to weasyl, I don't even think it got any views. >.<
