Yeah, as a survivor frankly the amount of victim-blaming and brainless defense/apologism of the perpetrator just isn't something I want to deal with. I probably won't stop posting entirely, but I'm hoping that Weasyl will take off as an active website to participate in instead.

Yeah, sadly it's something that happens to many, many people, and we're still in a society that largely blames the victims rather than the attackers. It can get really difficult to find safe spaces where that doesn't happen. That said, no worries, I don't judge anybody for wanting to stay on the site. Shitty staff or not, it's an active community that a lot of folks have roots in and nobody's obliged to leave if they don't want to!

I could go on and on about the sexist state of affairs. I agree with that too. It's pretty sickening that on average men are worried about being humiliated while women fear for their lives. It's a pretty sick idea of civilization if you ask me. Honestly though, I did wonder if people would get certain impressions of those who decide to stay here. I'm glad you at least don't condemn for that.
