I have come to eat your soul.
Thought I would link this here for those of us that like this kind of thing.
This art is of the reptile race that is well known for a single franchise. So before you judge here is the links.

The original verison of the game these guys started in is going to be 15 years old this year.
The second version, and both are still played mind you 10 years old this year.
The new version, will be released latter this year, and the concept art is for the new one.
There doing voting to pick which design will be used for the new version.
So what is this game franchise and the race name?
Well it's EverQuest, and the new one is EverQuestNext.
The race is Iksar.
Enjoy, and yea if they release the Iksar as a playable race from the start, I am so going to make a guild there.

With EQN the gods are done differently. there is no exact god of fear noted, also the Iksar in EQN are the creations of the Shissar to be there warriors and slaves. They revolted against the Shissar successfully with the help of the Combine Empire to drive them back in to there own dimension.
Venril then comes in to play as there first emperor, and wants to make the Combine the slaves of the newly formed empire, which prompts them to leave with the help of some sympathetic Iksar.
Right now Kunark in EQN lore wise, is ignored by the dragons, so right now there is nothing to support a Sarnak race being found in it.
