Firstly - Jobs won't care if you need money for a friend or not. Unless you know the manager personally, they really won't care. As long as they can shell out just enough bucks to get people to work for them they're happy.

If they have enough people/seasonal workers, they won't think twice for saying no. Simple as that. Unless you can show that you are better than at least one of their workers. Then they might just think about using your work.

If you don't have working papers and you're too young to work without them, that's another roadblock.

Why do you say it's because they can't get coverage if you get hurt? If it's because you feel the job is simple enough to not get injuries - trust me, the chances of getting hurt might be slim but they have good reason to say it.

Let's not forget - the economy is downright awful. Few places probably want to bother with shelling out money for more workers, and are probably trying to make due with what they have.

It sucks, but trust me - if you have the ability to get a job, you're farther ahead of me, as I can't get one if I want for a few reasons - not just the lack of working papers.

i see what ya mean and i agree just it's kinda annoying cus i promised my friend id make sure he would have Christmas present's that's unless his father and mother can well i cant say much but i just promised id help him is all and most company's dont care as you say unless thay are making money
