I currently have no working DVD drive due to the drivers not being compatible with windows 7. It looks like it's a problem involving the motherboard because me and a geek friend have tried to find updated drive drivers for this board and they only exist up to win XP.
So I am using this as an excuse to perhaps upgrade from a dual core (3ghz) and 4gbs DDR2 ram to a DDR3 mobo and a perhaps a quad core processor at the very least. I don;t really game so I don;t need anything super duper powerful.
I bought this computer refurbished on ebay 8 months ago (ish) and it's worked lovely ever since until this driver issue.
