do you have any religious beliefs or any belief in a higher being?

Uhm, not really. I was raised in a home without religion. The morals that were to us as kids were based on those of christian or catholic bases, but without the bible and stories behind it. In short, 80-90% of morals taught without all the inbetween. Frankly, I don't really believe in personal beliefs of organized religions, but that out of my own choice. I see nothing wrong with other believing such things if it does good for them. I have nothing against it, and I have seen a heap of good that was done from such things, but its not for me. I can be just as good under my own beliefs and under my own will and desire to be. I do, however, fear for those that get so entirely sucked into their church or figure head that they lose their own free thought. Those that end up being blinded by faith and turning to hate of those that do not agree or are different.

Higher being is an easier answer. I tend to second guess my stance on that all the time. I honestly really doubt that there is a higher being, but I would be open to the idea if sufficient proof was found to prove it right. If it was true, I doubt I would move to organized religion anyway. Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and in some respects Catholicism all share the same God or higher being [the same idea of one], but constantly condemn each other and disagree about it. I don't see why I can't believe on my own terms.

I think morals are really at the centre of any religion, be it Christianity or Buddhism. It tends to get corrupted by power and money though D:
