Weed smoking...it drives me nuts @.@
Alright before i get started, i tend not to care too much about people who smoke weed. This is more against my roommates who smoke too much.
I seriously hate weed smokers. I'm not talking about the ones that smoke it like a joint a day or something, i'm talking about the ones who has a bong the size of there arm and smoke it 4 to 5 times a day.
Seriously guys, weed is bad for you in such immense quantities. Aside from lung cancer, it can and will make you stupid with such large amounts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-AMKYDR7-s (references in the description)
Unfortunately there such a hype about weed being a cure to every thing that most people have shut out any study that disproves such claims. Even when i told my roommate that weed causes lung cancer, which is an old fact, she pretty much plugged her ears up and denies it.
Now i'm not going to clump every one together and say there the same when they smoke weed but seriously guys, there are more and more facts coming out about how bad weed is for you in large quantities. if your gonna smoke, smoke in small quantities...and away from me XD

To say the least I really didn't care if I burned that bridge, cause I never touch the shit cause he was a great deterrence to keep that crap out of my life. Though I ponder would it be a thing if it's regulated like beer and being less of a "forbidden fruit".
I personally think they really do it cause they are told they cannot.
Yes it's better then Cigs and Beer, but really that isn't a justification to be addicted to it to ruin yourself.
First time he kept complaining that he couldn't pay the rent then would run out when he thought I wouldn't notice and get wasted.
Second time was even worse because I had a second roommate, his friend, who was also a burnout. He used to complain to our mother that I spent all day cooped up in my bedroom without ever coming out; what he never tell her was that this was mostly in order to keep it from being the one and only room in the whole house that didn't have a dense fog warning eighteen hours a day.
I only supported its legalization as an extension of my disdain for the prison complex and prison overcrowding. 90% of all the "positives" about pot are a load of shit that stoners pulled out of their asses. I know this from experience: In real life, it brings out the asshole in everyone.

I am not kidding. All the stoners in high school (two little fuckers in particular) thought it was an utter abomination that I'd never done pot before and literally spent every single school day for three years straight hounding me in the halls or the cafeteria to spout off every conceivable reason why I should light up immediately.
One of those two, I later found out, was the local dealer. The other one I still get upset just thinking about got stuck in a group assignment with me, which he literally stalled until the 11th hour so we'd have to go to his house, all just so he could try to get me stoned. Then after I'd completed the whole fucking project for him since the rest of them just wanted to get blown, he lit up a joint in the back of the car while everyone was being dropped off. The next day all the stoners treated him like a fucking war hero because he tricked No Toke Terry into riding in a fishbowl.
Oh, and that thing about it being non-addictive? Biggest load of shit on the planet.
If you don't believe me, just try telling a stoner to prove it by quitting. I've had that conversation several times, and it always plays out one of two ways:
#1:
Stoner: "I can quit any time I want."
Tera: "Okay, prove it. Quit right now."
Stoner: "I DON'T WANNA' QUIT RIGHT NOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!!!"
#2:
Stoner: "I can quit any time I want."
Tera: "Okay, prove it. Quit right now."
Stoner: "I CAN'T HEAR YOU! I CAN'T HEAR YOU! LALALALALALALALALA!!!!"
Just for the record, again, I supported its legalization. I think it should be, at best, a misdemeanor unpunishable by jail time, that it should be taxed and regulated, and that anyone who can enjoy their weekly pot intake without anyone ever getting an unwanted whiff of it should be free to do so.
I only have one condition: Don't try to justify it. It's a vice on par with alcohol, and anyone who tries to say otherwise is trying to fool themselves.
And no offense, but seeing as my negative opinions of pot and the people who use it have put a bug up your ass, I don't believe you when you say you've quit.
Especially because, I'll say it again, I was in favor of its legalization. I'm not saying it should be illegal, only that users should stop pretending it's not a bad habit. Why is that too much for you to tolerate?
"Contrary to common belief, marijuana is addictive. Estimates from research suggest that about 9 percent of users become addicted to marijuana; this number increases among those who start young (to about 17 percent, or 1 in 6) and among people who use marijuana daily (to 25-50 percent)."
The source above is obviously biased, it being the drug prevention website in all, but that is not the point I'm trying to get across.
This drug causes pain to so many people, so legalizing it may be the only choice. Supply and demand will always be met, so let that supply stop falling into the dangerous and evil practice of organized crime. It's not the best way in my mind, but less killing and gang violence is NOT better than a tightly controlled system. Its is obviously a alcohol like substance, bringing on unfavorable consequences of crime and dropouts, but at least the money taken from the taxes on responsible users can help fuel the anti drug programs in schools, ect.
