I've been debating for the longest time on getting one. The latest portables I owned before was a 1st gen DS and a 2nd gen PSP. They both kind of sucked (the DS was alright though), so I lost faith in hand helds. Smart phone games are getting bland, and I wanted something new. Originally I didn't want to buy a $200 consol to play 3 games on, being a total camera nerd though, the 3D camera caught my attention and reminded me of the original gameboy camera. Then I found out about the download service (like Steam without the sales) and the interactive games. Overall it's just fun to use, even when not playing a game. So far I've only bought Pokémon Y, the newest one for me since Crystal X)
