I totally understand that perspective. :( I see so many journals with commissions opening and wishing I'd be able to afford to snag one! XD I shot myself in the foot with work today, so taking some time out to do something random like this for a change. <3 I like your honesty. :3

Thats understandable for sure. Gifts have more meaning behind them, though quite a few commissioned pieces I get to draw are gifts for others. To me knowing that a smile was placed on someones face because of a piece I've done makes it all worth it in the end. Being that I am a full time artist, and I make sure all of my boxes are checked to remain legal within the US and the UK, it's work, like anyone else with a job. The difference between me and someone else is I'm not a hobbiest. :< Though art is my hobby as well? *Scratches head*
