I am confused. Only on Sofurry? Isn't that a website with fewer people than FA? So wouldn't this lower the number of people who will commission you?

Except that its being advertised here as well, so we can all see. Just means less people see the completed pictures.

It just seems counter productive, people will have to go to Sofurry just to get a commission. Especially seeing how an email is going to be used anyway. Everyone has email, wouldn't it be easier to organize it like that? Otherwise both the artist and the clients will have to keep switching between websites.

There are several reasons for why this could be the case:
1. The artist has certain principles that matter to them more than money.
2. The artist prefers the set up and features of the other site for organizing how they do commissions there.
3. The artist wishes to encourage folks to try other websites for their features, or encourage folks to transition to a "multi-platform" environment.

It may also be about having the most eyes seeing it. Making announcements across all sites and then pulling them to the site of the artist's choice? Works just the same for those who want to commission them in the first place.

And in a few hours they got eleven slots filled out of ten maximum? Doesn't appear to matter.
