I know that's pretty cool but it sucks that we have to wait for two years for the Sly Cooper movie to hit theaters? Man I'm not sure if I can wait that long.

First a Heavenly Sword movie, then a Ratchet & Clank, now a Sly Cooper. My guess for the next is Jak & Daxter, although I'd prefer a MediEvil movie, directed by Tim Burton.

The art style: I think it looks alright in 3D ^^;
As someone who hasn't played the games really and who kind of know the design of the characters, I think Sly and Bentley look alright. Murray...well...this IS a teaser and it won't be out for another 2 years minimum, so I'm hoping they released it so that they can listen to fan feedback and maybe switch a few things around.

A new start or end of the two series: I think it's more of a new start. I mean, I simply can't imagine them NOT doing something with the franchises after what they're doing with them. So in all honesty and based more off of a hunch than anything right now, I think they'll be fine.

Video game movie curse: Yes, video games movies have for the most part sucked complete ass in the past. However, also realize that these are taking more of an approach to what each of the series actually are. (Think back to what they did with the Super Mario Bros. movie). And yes, I know that it isn't really a game to move transition, but think of Wreck-It-Ralph! That did pretty good. I think as long as they stay true to what the franchises are about, the movies should (hopefully) be fine.

Well...the Ratchet and Clank one for sure says at the end that it will be for theaters. Can't imagine the Sly Cooper one won't, especially since it's the same people working on both of them.

From the IGN video that talks about this. Changes were expected, but nothing is concrete. It's basically the first game as a movie. I am waiting to see what Carmelita Fox looks like though. Hehe.

With most video game movie adapts,I'm not getting my hopes that high. Even though I haven't played the games, I know enough about them and the characters.
Still pissed that the Legend of Spyro movie was cancelled and replaced with crappy Skylanders.XD
