...I got a call. My three year old had woken up a couple hours before and was curled up like a kitten beside me in my bed. When the phone rang I went from peaceful half-slumber to utterly awake in the blink of an eye.
A phone call that early could only be one thing.
William P. Mims had passed on.
My grandfather was an awsome man. I loved him. I adored him. I have this bad/good habit of idolizing the men in my family. For ill or fortune I have always felt a since of pride and respect for all of them.
In my father an unstable saint. In my brother a tortured genius. In my grandfather a man of solid true wisedom and caring.
With Papa gone now only my brother is left.
Anyway, once again I've gone around the long way to tell you guys that I'm gonna do another sweep to my inbox. If theres a pic you wanted me to comment on or a journal let me know in a note or something. Otherwise I'm basically going offline until the new year. I may do a christmas pic but I'm not sure yet.
See you guys in 09...here's hoping it sucks just a little bit less then this son of a bitch 08! *downs a glass of wine to mix with her pills* Merry christmas all!
