Animal planet has been running the Puppy Bowl opposite the superbowl for several years now.
as it happened, I was in a planning meeting for a convention most of the day Sunday, so I got home in time to watch the last few minute of the first half and then the halftime show. Then I went to bed for the evening. it's all on the dvr so I will be able to watch the commercials and skip all the boring football stuff.

I work in the theatrical and live event industry. the superbowl halftime show is one of the big events where money is no object and time is super critical and very limited. I watch the halftime show for the big budget toys they use and to mentally add up the costs to boggle at.
