Basically, I'm made of pure WIN, 3 parts Awesome, and a touch of insecurity.

I had a mental breakdown at work. /Sighs/ Sadly, it seems it was bad enough that I can't even go back into work. I attempted to call out sick this morning, and my supervisor hung up on me and refused to answer any of my phone calls. I don't want to say that this job/supervisor/Saturday's breakdown gave me PTSD, but... Of all of the history of stressful times in my life have never compared to standing up to my boss for my health and refusing to work. I can't be sorry. I have gone above and beyond what is called for in this position. I have been working over time every week since October, and 12 -14 hour shifts EVERY WORK DAY since Christmas. Before anyone mentions it, I have already spoke with Human Resources, and they DO expect me to CONTINUE these hours.
I'll try to legally seal my work record at this company, by means of constructive discharge.
I'm out of words here.
This was bad. Please send ZetaSyanthis some love and thanks yous. If he hadn't encouraged me to stand up and subsequently hadn't driven me home after my breakdown. . . I am afraid to think of where I'd be with out him. Thank you, Zeta.

I will preach it again and again and again. We are designed to work 3-4 hours a day as a species, not 8, and running a person at 12-14 (ignoring travel and getting ready every day) is the equivalent of trying to push a Ford Pinto to go 240 miles an hour non-stopped: when the engine blows up in the driver's face, it isn't Ford's fault, it's the stupid driver's fault. If a company can't survive on fewer hours than a hunter-gather worked to survive using rocks and sticks, than maybe they should reconsider their survival strategy to include more rocks and sticks... it might grant them a better ROI.
Thanks Zeta for helping out a great member of the fandom.
That is just...no one should be made to work that many hours day in and day out, and have such an ignorant, uncaring asshole of a boss forcing them to do so.
I worked with serum specimens in the lab, so it's like crazy important to get names, bar codes, and test codes all correct, am I right? We collect all these specimens and organize them to send to 3rd party labs. AND OH GOD WORK FASTER STOP MAKING MISTAKES! FASTER! NO MISTAKES! GAHHHH!
