Were the bear suits you created difficult to make?

The first ones where. It was a lot more trial and error than it was for the later ones. Like anything, them more you do it, the more you know what to expect.

Most of the time padding is not difficult, but it is time consuming.

So the suits are padded and not tailored to fit a model or something (having the person put on special padding that isn't connected to the suit to mimic body shape)?

Is the padding part of the costume and not a separate entity worn under?

I have done is both ways. the preferred method is to have the padding sewn in. makes for getting in and out much easier.

How challenging was creating the body understructure/(body pod?) for Taffy the Triceratops, a while back?

It's hard to say. We have yet to do one in a similar manner, so it's very hard to compare it with other projects.
The other padded suits we have done aside from the Panda all used a completely different method. The panda was also much simpler without heavily padded legs, an the absence of a tail. I would not go about it the same way if I created a second Dino.

Sure, just to let you know we do have one suit to complete before we do "Repair week".

Without having to get it to a con we can do a proper photo shoot as well. So, we can go over the specific details before it is back in the box.

Sounds fine to me!! It ended up getting there so quick because Canada Post insisted I pay for a more expensive/faster shipping in order to insure it (and even then, they only insured it for $1000, the dicks, apparently that's the max!)

But yah, not any form of rush!! The next con I could wear her to would be Condition on August 1st. So you've got quite a while ;P
