You can invoice people just like Paypal, have a debit card linked to account, and do direct deposit from account. You can issue full or partial refunds, generate reports, etc. It'll also drop into a lot of website shopping cart templates with minimal fuss.
HOWEVER, these is an annual fee for the service of about $40 is you're a low volume dealer: http://www.propay.com/featuresandpricing.aspx
Overall its probably a better choice if you do more than $200 a month in transaction, less than about $2000. I use it at a retail store in place of a credit card machine as it works out to be less expensive than a regular machine until you hit about that $2000 mark for the average sale for my business. the cut off point for YOU may be higher or lower, depending on your average sale amount.
If you're doing LESS than $200 a month, PayPal, as irritating as it is, is probably the best option for such low volume. It's the least confusing for you and clients.
