Life updates and all that funs
Well, since I'm home on short term disability from surgery, I'm gonna update the crap out of this!
As you may have seen on my mate's page, I went in for surgery a week ago to get my gall bladder removed. It has been almost 8 months since I started having problems. These went so far as to make me fear driving by myself. I was lucky for two of those months since my boss was kind enough to let me work from home for the last two months of 2013. I tried diet changes, cleanses, flushes, and just about everything I could come up with through the internet or the experience of my mom with all her dietary issues which she has dominated over her life. The surgery itself was pretty standard. I went in, got prepped, got to talk with my dad and Shadow for an hour before they wheeled me into the operating room. As a side note, IV's in the back of your hand sting like crazy! I still have a bruise there that's the size of half of my hand. Anyway, the anesthesia dude hooked me up to the stuff, and off I went. Next thing I knew, I woke up in the recovery room and felt like I smacked around with a novacane bat. After sitting there a little so I could get the strength to raise myself up and get into a wheelchair, I was pushed out to the front of the hospital with my instructions to drink clear liquids and don't do stupid shit. The next few days were definitely the worst of the recovery time. Really it started once the nice hospital drugs wore off and I was strictly on the hydrocodone that I received a prescription for. Drugs are bad kids....unless you're in lots of pain from surgery! Like I said, it's been a week at this point, minus a few hours, since I was opened up, and I think I'm recovering decently well, though not as quickly as I would like since I am now motivated to do stuff.
Going back a few weeks, there was the awesome weekend that included FC 2014. That was by far my most memorable convention (besides the last day of RF when Shadow and I got together. Love you! <3) on my ever growing list of attended cons. Let's just say that I spent the entire weekend running (walking cause I was stiff having gall bladder bleh happening) around all weekend with Shadow, Sasha, Karma, Ryo, and Muffins! That was the most people I have roomed with and it was damn fun! I didn't get to suit as much as I wanted too, especially since my mate just received hers a week prior. I did make the most of it when I did though. I will say that running behind Telephone takes endurance! We got to eat at quite a few places that had foods that didn't upset my broken internal parts so that was a plus, and they had awesome food to serve anyway! My mate also has this thing where she buys me birthday gifts for some reason even though I tell her not to. Her sneaky ass found me a steampunk themed drawing pad. She even got a commission done inside of Spencer! She gave it to me while I was suiting around right before the photo shoot and fursuit parade, and it was on video! It was just sad on the last day when we had to say good by to our roommates. They are an awesome bunch and we still miss them.
Shadow and I are also moving out of our current residence as well. I have been renting this place with some friends for two and a half years at this point. I'm just tired of the HOA here, and I'm really tired of the landlord. I won't go into the details, but I'm glad the lease is up and out last payment has been made. It's definitely been a fun time here though, don't get me wrong, but it's time to move on. We are actually going to be moving back into my dad's house, but the awesome thing is that he is moving out and selling it to me! I'll own my childhood home! I don't plan on selling it either. I spent a good 25 years there already and it looks like we'll be doing at least one more there with me as the owner. After we get our savings in order though it will be time to say good bye to Vegas. We have both spent more years here than we care to admit. It's not a great town and I think we are both ready for a change. Right now, we have Denver, Phoenix, and Seattle as possible locations. Granted we are heavily leaning towards Denver because our trip to RMFC there made us kinda fall in love with the mountains and the city itself. The plan is to rent out the house when we move out of Vegas, so that will at least give us some extra income while we are getting setup there.
I think that about does it for now. I just need to finish uploading all the commissions that have been floating around here, since my mood before the surgery was not in the most productive of places. I'm just glad that it's all done with now. Hopefully in a few weeks I will be all healed up and I can pick my life back up where I had to leave it 8 months ago.

FA+

Plus they used a robot to do some of the surgery! It's pretty new technology from what I understand, granted I was out before I even got to see it =(
