An early color Warner Bros. cartoon dealing with a dicey subject; namely, fur farming:
Though I do have a bit of a problem with the ending. It would have made more sense if the fox had been telling his story to two other foxes, not to two crows.

Now, if it had been a certain pair of magpies *coughHeckle&Jecklecough* that the fox had told his tale to, they probably would have ended up laughing at the fox for being such a chump.

The 40s were only just getting started. Still half a decade until "The Talking Magpies" but less than a year after a Disney feature with a bunch of helpful (and better dressed) crows.

And our old friend the clipped dialogue edit is back, just as the crows respond to the fox's story. Betting it was funny at the time but alot less so now (changing cultural standards and all that).
