Insert cool saying here....

Earlier I told my mom I was bi and she said she still loves me no matter what. She might not agree with my "lifestyle choice" but she will still love me which is all that matters. A lot of people have been extremely supportive and it feels amazing to actually get it off my chest. I'm not sure how my really homophobic step dad will take it but we'll see.

I am so happy that things worked out for you. I came out last August. Try not to think too much into it. Just enjoy being you and everything will work out just fine.

That's awesome dude. I'm sure many of us here can tell you how nerve-wracking it actually is.

My mom was very accepting of it. My dad however, didn't talk to -anyone- for 7 days. My mom talked some sense into him and ...(this is the short story) everything was better.

Parents usually have a way of knowing before you even tell them. But it's still a great feeling to feel that weight lifted off your shoulders.

When your mother starts asking questions here and there in normal conversation. Then later on 'you can tell me something if you want to, I'll always love you'. They know something is up. Glad telling your mom went well. Soon enough, your mom will start asking more questions. This time 'so are you bringing a boy or girl home to meet me?' :)

When I decided to stop hiding who I was, I did so in a facebook status. It went like this:
"Fuck it, I dont care anymore. Guess what world? I'm bi. Anyone who has a problem with that can GTFO of my life right now."
I made it very clear that IDGAF what anyone thinks of me, because anyone who has a problem with who I am isn't someone I want or need in my life. Its that simple.

Good for you woofer! *hugs* I don't like kids either. And people have been saying to me for years "You say that now..." but here I am almost thirty and I still really don't want kids. I too am bisexual, but the fact that I don't want kids was always a deal breaker.
