About time for a NEW Laptop

So, this morning I pulled out my laptop that been good to me for at least 4-5 years all of a sudden when I open it the join on the display totally broke off so my display is kinda just hanging there and it won't stay up and its annoying...so instead of like buying a monitor and rigging it I rather just upgrade my laptop to something nicer that has the ability to run the graphic programs I use to draw and color..and make huge signs at work. I still wanna stick with a ASUS laptop because I love the one I have it's been a good little laptop for a good amount of years.
So, MY goal is at least to make $999 or close to it. SO, what I am planning on doing is streaming on Livestream 30 lucky people will get a clean sketch with 2 colors and sketches will be at least $35 dollars. I will not be doing 30 sketches in one sitting so I'll be spacing it out for 3 days so I can get some rest between work and this. You don't have to pay until you get your picture in whatever e-mail you give me. Pictures can range Adult to G rated and two character pictures are $45.
So, if you are interested just say so and I'll add you in just make sure you add a link to your ref. page. (I'll be starting a few today.)

hp elitebook 8540w quadcore i7 (make sure you get the quad core and not the dual core because it holds more ram) The Dual core is a different motherboard and has less features for about the same price.
