Be careful hon! Also I have a hot new recipe for you to try! I made homemade flour tortillas tonight that are BANGIN. Heat saucepan to med-high. In a glass bowl mix 1/2 cup flour, 1/4 water(Lukewarm) and a pinch of salt. Dont oil the pan btw. Split the dough into 4 pieces, and roll out until its so thin you can read a newspaper through it(Or abouts that), toss in the pan until bubbles start to form in the dough(About 45 secs to a minute), flip until the same thing happens. Flip a few more times til they get some toasty brown spots(Not too many), they might start to puff up like a pufferfish but thats okay just squish them with your spatula. Voila. Fresh, homemade tortillas in less than ten minutes and for almost 1/8 the cost of storebought.

Ya I tried to drive to work (since they said all employees needed to be there by 10) and wound up in the median, spun tires in the turn off and slid past a stop sign. Once I got back home, I kept my happy ass home. Was at my attendance limit so I am just hoping they don't fire me for it. Been sick a lot in January :(

Get a few oil lamps with metal bases(If you ever live somewhere wintery). You can set them down and the bottom metal parts get WARM but not hot(Like 100-102). Thats what I did when I had baby kittens to take care of. You have to babysit the lamps because fried animals + housefire = terrible, but its a good last ditch thing :D

We're not supposed to get that much up here oddly. Still, fully prepared to drag all my blankets infront of the wood stove and have a slumber party with the stinkdogs.

Sure 'nuff. I am more or less snowed in but it seemed like even Hagerstown would get more than us. We're on the edge of the storm. They closed down my work which never happens but I think it had to do in part with the DC area and all of our processing being shut down.

As a Canadian, I can understand how scary ice storms can be. Been there, done that this year. As beautiful as ice covered tree limbs look, it's still an extreme hazard.

Tell me about it! We live around the back side of the apartment from the parking lot. Went outside, tree limbs caked in solid ice. I'm thinking "GORGEOUS! HOW BEAUTIFUL!" Come around front- TEN CARS CRUSHED UNDER FALLEN TREES.
