Is it Just Me Or is My English I Class Asking Way Too Much?

I swear I'm being overworked here. I just turned in an essay over narration 2 days ago and I'm already late on a descriptive paragraph and I have to do a 3.5-page essay describing a location in my city and a 10-page essay over something I have to research.
Am I crazy or is this way too much? I know there's supposed to be a 2:1 ratio of time spent doing homework to time spent in class, but I have other classes to do work for and this is too much for me to handle. 13hours x 2 + 13 should be 39hours so why am I not able to sleep?

I'm noticing with my gf's online class she gets to see everything she has to do in 8 weeks, but at the same time... its not making it any easier to schedule :|
