“You should love people every day, not just one day a year

Shut up with that argument.
People love each other all year long, but life is not all roses and bird songs — distractions abound, so one day a year to focus on what’s important is not too much to ask for.
What next? Complaining that birthdays should not be celebrated because every day should be a special day? What about anniversaries, memorial days, national holidays?

If there weren't anniversaries, many thing wouldn't be done at all. Fixed dates can make people motivated.

It's an anniversary. I'm cool with the idea that hey, another year has rolled 'round.
