actually have a very similar problem. I'm light-sensitive, and often required polarized or heavy-duty shades to go out into the sun. Beyond that I've an anxiety disorder which will basically put me into feinting spells or general mental instability when stressed or surrounded by large amounts of people.

takes a good bit to get used to it, at a clinical level; but to be fair i've lived my entire life with it, so i handle it with more experience and control.

I'm sorry to hear of your pet and general state in life. It seems you're very broken up over them. i heart reaches for you; i miss my "baby puppy-dog". Loved her so much. I do hope you feel better soon.
