Oh the bitter irony :(

Today my harddrive went KIA because of a physical error.
This happened while doing a fucking BACKUP of that harddrive.
Nontheless i have still 3 years of warranty on that drive left.
(the other one wich is 8 years older never posed any problem)
20GB important personal data (including a project i was working on for over 2 years wich was nearing release next month) and 90GB replacable stuff is lost.
:(

Im really considering to get some data recovery firm on that one since its some really important stuff for me.
Anyone knows how much thatll cost?

I lost some stuff anyway thought...
Sadly I dunno what you could do...
Word of advice: BACK UP your valuables to DVD-Rs or CD-Rs!
I'm totally unprepared for a hard drive crash. This scares me a lot.
I made some serearch on the topic a few weeks ago; in Finland you would have to pay from 500 to 2000€ for that... I'm sorry, I don't know how much it will be elsewhere, but I'm afraid it won't be cheap no matter where you live. :/
But there´s data on it that doesn´t only mean something to me (if that was the case i wouldn´t probably care) but information and crucial stuff for a mod community profejt i am working on and that is due in a few weeks.
So hopefully i can round up enough guys for a charity tour so it wont be too expansive on all sides.
If we get enough people it´ll probably just a few € for everybody.
