Remakes arrrgh!
Okay lets get this straight I have reached my limit, (Way passed my eyeballs in fact), of famous directors spouting this line.
"It is my favorite movie of all time, I am going to remake it." Or something like that.
Why!!!
You never here a famous artist say a painter say, "I love the Mona Lisa I will paint it again." or "I am going to paint over it."
Musicians can do cover versions I know, but nobody ever has said I am going to recompose Smoke On The Water or Beethoven's Fifth symphony.
So why do film directors and movie companies feel the need to pump money down the drain.
Rant over, yeah I know wasted journal

It's cuz a good original idea costs a lot of money. So, if they're gonna make as many remakes and sequels as they can afford.. while leaving all the good ideas to the small time indie filmmakers.
