Hope you get to enjoy the local delights in Okinawa! From what I understand, it is very different from the rest of Japan entirely! Even the language! Also regarding your last journal, I'm probably not the best person to be giving advice of any sort, considering I'm really introverted myself... But adding another layer of social structure to your interest group seems rather unnecessary and a disservice (as you've indicated) altogether. It's bad enough that most places we work at are driven by hierarchy and politics! If it's of any consolation, you're a fursuiter yourself and you're a participant. As long as you're interacting, I think that in some ways, you're already adding to the colors of the fandom. The people you deem as nobles and royalty, I believe, see themselves as just normal average joes themselves, simply doing what they like, and perhaps by lots of hard work and some sheer luck, they got renown.

Personally, I have problems expressing my inner child or inner most emotions of joy. It's a complicated story, but that's kinda why I wanted to suit up so bad as it helps tap into that part of me that I would otherwise not show without a suit... You're lucky you can attend conventions and all! We don't have those here, hopefully you'll find your place one day!
