I had a kind of a nightmare a couple days ago, it is one of those reoccurring ones, every few nights, like when your subconscious is screaming at you to take care of a problem. Anyway it was in a place that seemed very familiar to me, like it was where I was living and everyone was all relaxed and just doing stuff day to day and this was a nice sunny day in a desert like location. Not another country but like ins Arizona or California. I was talking with friends but felt I was not in the right body, kind of like I felt this was not 'me'. and I was looking at a dumb but well written funny tame story that had all these dumb jokes as punch lines, like a storyboard for a new computer of X-box game. Then on the walls where a few seconds ago there were only the constant commercials and updates on the weather or something else on the giant computer screens, it felt like these were commonplace, like since everyone grew up looking into their phone or a tablet anyway so that advertizes could make commercials. then all of a sudden this whiny really bad music came on and some asshole started screaming in a bunch of microphones, dressed like Ayatollah Kollmaini with the long gray pointed beard, yelling from a bunch of notes in some other language that sounds like someone spitting their consonants.

Then the translation came out like You sons of Satan are going to now pay for all your crimes against Islam and other bullshit crap then all these weird symbols flew across the screen and he shook his fist and looked directly into the camera like he was able to see you or something. then though it was a nice afternoon and a really sunny day already, it got brighter and brighter then I realized that was because of the second sun in the sky from the atomic bomb that had gone off and I would die in another couple of seconds along with everyone else.

My president is the stupid asshole that is allowing the country of Iran to have their bomb and will use the same technology Clinton gave away to the North Koreans when they could not get their rockets for satellite communications, (yeah right!) off the ground. And Now can fire an ICBM as far as the Mississippi river in the USA. and that this was now Iran killing me because My president wants to be leader of a socialist nation as its king. Why he is not bothering to enforce some laws of the constitution and is crucifying Christians for their beliefs. The same one that lied to use about our health care, Benghazi, borrowing money from China, you know everything, including this one too. but

It did not matter at that point because I was about to die for his stupidity in trusting Muslims.
It seemed pretty real a few years in the future, after he stayed on as KING after no one younger than created the crisis he needed to implement full martial law from the emergency preparedness act he created with one of those (if you listen to MSNC) meaningless executive orders.
Anyway it is too bad about Ukraine, I remember Staling murdered thirty thousand people in the thirties there because they disagreed with him about sending 90% of their food to Moscow. He just sent in the Cossacks and all the people there were starved to death.

Then Hitler came in and murdered some more people but got more blame because the Ukraine if he had acted more like a liberator would have helped him destroy Stalin and Russia.
You guys seem to have another problem with Putin, who acts a lot like Stalin in how he does things, were furries and gays are attacked and beaten by police in public, and your country is not allowed to elect its own leaders unless they too want the same thing Putin wants, another USSR.

I had a Russian woman as my landlady back in Michigan, for you in the Ukraine you might just leave there and come here instead, if you do my government from an older law will give you 300,000 dollars to start a business which you don't have to even start paying back until thirty years from now.

This is a real law, set up by the democrats under President Truman in the late 40's. This is a loan people born here cannot get. It is for foreign nationals that want to come to a free country - for as long as it is free anyway.

Get it off the floor, if it's on the floor. Just a little elevation helps. Also, if you do deal with water infiltration into electronics: de-energize (unplug, remove battery, whatever) rinse (yes, with water) and then rinse again with distilled water (don't want any residue) and then let air dry completely. That might not be enough every time, but it can help a lot. Of course, if things have arcing, popping, or smoking, well, that's another matter.

Lysol is good to try and keep the mildew from forming but I suggest some of the stuff you can get at auto repair shops to absorb oil and other stuff to make sure you get all the water. Not the best to clean with carpets, but its better than the mold that can form.
Had a roof leak several years back, not pretty when it comes to cleanup and its one of the reasons I got rid of every bit of carpeting.

Oh, and superglue on cuts works well. Hurts like heck, but it seals the wound up quickly and helps keep it from reopening.

I cannot believe I forgot. Keep in mind over the next few months, if you get odd headaches, feel lightheaded, get itchy eyes, or start having allergies where there was water, look for black mold. Lysol should keep it from growing, but long term exposure of if you get a large growth of it, it can be bad for your health.
And, sawdust can sop up water as well. Depending on your area, might be cheaper/easier to get than the shop stuff.

Usually only see posts a week or more after they pop up or do not have anything relevant to say so I just lurk.

on your problem, get some of that tarp that is waterproof and bag up your computer so it can actually sit in about two feet of water and you can still draw stuff on the computer. duct your fans for cooling when there is no water, from above.

use that stuff that comes in cans that blows only air without any moisture to dry your stuff, be careful when you take out the batteries from your mother board since that is the way to compromise anybody's' computer that has passwords keeping it from even booting up.

take out the battery on the motherboard for a couple hours and the password protections are gone.

using anything wet will permanently destroy your computer because it has that pesky static cling problem including dust and water micro droplets.

remember to ground yourself before you grab anything inside it for the same reason like touch the frame inside before touching anything else. this will keep the static from your hands from frying anything inside. when things start smoking that means it is too late and they are actually destroyed, you won't have milliseconds to turn off the power it will just be too late.

I would not follow the other person's advice myself, I used to work on people's computers with a friend of mine who had a computer repair store back in Michigan. It floods there a lot too. my friend is a novel network engineer and a dell redistribution dealer. He is also a computer repairman and has been that for the last twenty years when (long ago) I helped him start his business with a loan of five thousand dollars. I get free software or free work on any computer i have as a balance forever with him.

For black mold it can grow inside the walls and the ceiling in between floors you won't notice until it grows through and well then your place is simply condemned and torn down. That happened to me when I had the Russian landlady, I just had to move since the black mold is completely poisonous and will eventually kill you.

Michigan has a law that will just condemn your house after black mold gets in, since there is no way to get rid of it between the walls or ceiling, unless you completely tear out all the walls and rebuild everything.

I moved out west where there is no black mold, dry as bone San Diego, we have a drought right now for the fourth year, I am kind of glad really, it is also too dry for bugs and other things that take over in Texas or Oklahoma.

kitty litter sops up water and oil too. throw out your carpets those will only get mildew and stink forever.
