TFF 2014

Zig Zag's first TFF, I believe since the convention started in Texas. As a new role she remains a challenge - it is a torch passed on by the prior performer. She remains unique in the fursuiting culture.
This year I focused on her aspects other than flagrant flirtation and being overtly sexy in every direction possible, and am working on evolving my performance of her. So if you met her, I hope it was fun for you. :) What comes next in the nearer future shall have to be seen. And yes, she's not shy, but that habit comes out of Ceana. Working it out slowly.
Went to the dance on Saturday night and the blacklights lit me up like a Christmas tree. Made a few good friends, and a new acquaintance named Skye (Finally found you.) that I'm sure was part of a couple ended up dancing with me while her mate took a seat. She confided to me that she was a bit tipsy halfway through. Mother Hen mode kicked in and I assured her I'd hold her up if she got wobbly. I think we danced through ten minutes of song - it was fun, made my night.
Our room wasn't quite what we expected - for 356 square feet, that really shriveled up fast. We'll have to figure out how to do the suite next year again if we want the space. I think that is my only major complaint about the hotel ($110 USD suite was super nice) and the elevators were just an obstacle to learn how to handle.
It's been an interesting trip - second con with the new fursona. We didn't quite get to do the board gaming as I hoped for, thinking in future trips that perhaps it is not a good plan to try and do anything seriously complex. It really needs a dedicated group.
My friend from Tulsa who I work with visited and took the Atsuki suit out while I was in ZZ, giving both some attention - we had some professional photography done. It should look very nice.
We both ended up in the parade out of a fluke, really. Just hopped in near the front. Didn't really get to quite ham it up like I did at MFF, but sometimes I avoid the parades - not to be antisocial in any means, just that a parade travel generally requires that you keep a tight eye on the suiter in front of you and not get stepped on by the one from behind! I had some leeway at MFF which made it easier; TFF in the past has been typically very structured and paced.
Speaking of the art show, I went in to check on pieces that could be bid on. Goldenwolf, who I had won an art auction for one of their art pieces, had someone buy out almost 80% of the entire show. Clearly the artist has some popularity.
The 18+ section was amusingly mild for the most part in the art auction. The difference between the bits of artwork there vs. outside of it was the presence of genitalia. Maybe one or two rough scenes, but that's about it. A few pieces had some BDSM elements but it was again light.
So what about you? Did you like the new hotel? Missed the old one? We're split here in the room on that particular question - I would like the space back in the residence areas, but admittedly the floors are super clean and the decorum is very nice.
I would like to see them try and carry over the idea from MFF with the con suite, where you can generally get some small bits of food.
Our own food travels were decently varied. The usual Genghis, a Chili's run, place called Pie Five Pizza, Magic Time Machine trip (with Fiona as a server from Adventure Time) and In-n-Out Burger.
The hotel has that in advantage; everything is in proximity and can be safely walked to.
That should cover most everything.

I'll hit the dances again next time. I had an invite to the furry drama show, which I'll consider too - but I would want to set up the skit before the con with someone before that.
ZZ dares me to break out of the shy, reserved, and calm shell often. It's a welcome challenge.
Just so long as it stays PG-13. :)
The con was fun, Thanks to the skirt idea it made Rowan a lot easier to get on and off so I may use her more now that she's easier to slip on. I like it. Let's see... Loved your company over the weekend, thanks so much for being great roomies. We must do it again next year.
The elevators were really annoying. I know it was the hotels first year so I am hoping they will do better next year. I mean its a new hotel I wasn't expecting super perfect but the elevators and escalators were the one thing that really bugged me about the hotel all weekend.
Oh yes indeed. I look forward to being with all three of you again next year. It's always loads of fun spending time with you all !
'till then.. stay safe!
Thank you, and cute icon, btw.
Gratz on getting the suit btw...Now you just need more photos!! And outfits!!
But then again, it was a most excellent hotel. I roomed with two maskers, one of whom had quite an interesting rubber pony head.
