Trucker Update #4
Well guys, right as I was heading back to move on to my Phase 1 trucking upgrade something bad happened. I was up in Illinois and got put on a small detour road through a town. I took a right turn too short because there was a car in the other lane I didn't want to hit and I snagged a lamp post with my trailer and knocked it over...right across from a police station to boot. >.< No one was hurt and the truck and trailer didn't take any damage, but the lamp post was smashed, of course. As the company I work for has a zero tolerance for accidents while still in training I probably don't have a job anymore. This happened a few days ago, but it's been a week since I've been able to connect to any wifi signals. I'm in Las Vegas right now waiting for my trainer to finish up a drop before we head back to the Salt Lake City truck hub for them to review my accident and give me the definite yes or no to being fired. As it is, it's taking much longer since I've been suspended from driving since the accident.
So, I just thought I'd update you all. I've failed at something, again. I just can't seem to stop screwing things up in life. T.T So, if this goes the way I'm thinking I'll get the boot from the company, probably get something on my driving record, and have to pay a percentage of the cost for the lamp post. Add to that the fact that I only made about $500 this whole time and I'm just barely going to be able to pay back my parents for food money when I started out. >.< So, I won't have made ANY progress towards paying my debts off and I'll have lost ANOTHER job. *sigh*
Anyway, if anyone knows of a good job they can get me, please, let me know. I might as well start looking, again.
