..."Go, and Rock your way to Victory."
The trip was arduous, and filled with many potholes.
Went to Revere, where a giant construction truck was working on a pothole, right in front of the RMV parking lot entrance. People were driving up onto the curb to get in.
Got in, and was told I needed to head to the Boston RMV.
Head to Boston, and am told I hafta wait 2.5 hours before a suspension hearings officer would see me.
3 hours later, I'm called up, but end up befriending this chick my age; she was getting her license renewed after 4 years, and 6 years after she had a horrific car accident.
She was 19 on the Zircom Bridge when she hydroplaned, smashed into a pillar, and was thrown from the car. Pronounced dead on arrival, but brought her to Mass General nearby and revived her. First they thought she was gonna be a vegetable, but then she woke up after 2 months. Then they thought she was just going to be "retarded" (her words), until she started complaining coherently about how much she hates candy corn.
She now celebrates her "Deathday". She is fucking Metal.
So after conversing with this lovely woman for the better part of three hours, I get called up, and the woman at the counter asks me what I'm there for. I explain my case, and she says that I changed my mailing address to UMass in 2009. I explain I haven't been there in four years, and had either completely forgotten or didn't know it was changed. She gives me a hairy eye and says she's gonna give me the benefit of the doubt, and says I can either pay all the fines and take the class, or go downstairs, repay the $25 court fee to reschedule the original court date.
I think I'll take the second option. I thanked her profusely, gave a thumbs up to my friend, wished her luck, and ran downstairs. In 15 minutes I Paid my fee, witnessed a very angry man get interrupted by the counter ladies children, and had my new license photo taken.
With that, I can now drive again.
Somehow, the system worked. Of course, being charming and polite to the women behind the counters always helps too.
To finish off the night, my friend picked me up, and he gave me his old PS3 Slim. The disc drive is broken, but everything else works fine. I'm plotting to get it fixed, and to also try and upgrade the hard drive. I listed my PSN if anyone wants to play racing games and stuff with me. Also GTAV. I got up to lvl 85 in GTAO, and now I'm going to hafta start over, and would love company on shitty beginner missions.
