1) What was your FIRST video game console?
a PLAIN NINTENDO. i later acquired a zapper, and a power pad to play the running game on, and then a power glove, which is to this day THE most useless and awkward gaming peripheral i have ever encountered lol
2) Name a few games you played on said console.
zelda! excitebike! BUMP N JUMP! battle of olympus, faxanadu, omg milon's secret castle.. bubble bobble.. metroid and zelda and mario and castlevania, of course. haha i also distinctly remember mickey mousecapade and 8 eyes being unreasonably difficult.
3) Excluding handhelds, how many VG consoles do you own presently?
haha just a ps2; i had to sell everything a while back. :|
4) Were you a Street Fighter nut? Any character in particular?
not a nut, but i did put an unnecessary amount of effort into getting really good with dan just on principle
5) Do you think Capcom is a FUCKING awesome company with kickass character designs?
i like capcom. :j i got into snk characters more, though, and later on square more than either of those.
6) Here's the scenario.. You had some friends over and you all ate FRIED CHICKEN! After the meal you all decide to play some video games. As your friend reaches for a controller you notice his/her hands are very "greasy." Are you the type that would insist they wash their hands before pawing the controller, or is it no big deal?
nah i'd probably just be like wtf go wash your greasy little hands

7) What's your favorite RPG/Action RPG? I will allow a second and third fave if you insist.
star ocean - the second story, followed closely by final fantasy X
for action, fable followed by prince of persia sands of time. the first one, only.
8) Do you prefer 2D games or 3D games?
i have a really strong bias towards 2d, but i've become a lot more forgiving of 3d now that it's not all so fucking gonky anymore
9) Are you an SNK fan?

9) Are you good at DDR?
haha nope; we used to play imported copies of the first couple games in the lobby of a friend's dorm my freshman year of college with some really shitty mats we duct taped to the floor -- i was definitely the worst of the lot

the dog only laughed at you if you sucked
11) Have you skipped out on important events in life because of video games?
haha when i was in highschool all the time; not anymore though
12) Do you listen to video game music?
not really; i do have the FFXI soundtracks on some of my playlists though

14) Have you ever been in an arcade playing a fighting game, KICKING ASS, and then some 6 year old asian kid comes in and OWNS YOU??
no just six year old street kids who slap all of the buttons wildly until you die and then so much for all that time you just wasted

i feel this way about the entire dreamcast console
but more specifically: so many people trash on fable because it's not some wiggle eyed anime looking gaussian blurred FMV every five seconds piece of shit, but it really deserved a lot more love
20) Have you ever verbally abused a game because you couldn't beat one of the levels and/or bosses?
haha the only time i start to get really irritated is when i start dying repetitively and then i get impatient while restarting and start doing something dumb like walking right off a god damn ledge over and over and over
also i spent like an entire day on the last boss in the first god of war game for similar reasons ^
21) Do you own any VG apparel?

22) What are your thoughts on the live-action Super Mario Bros movie?

15) I played "Bushido Blade" at a friend's house a couple times. I briefly fell in love with it, but wasn't able to get a copy for myself (anything Square that didn't say "Final Fantasy" on the cover saw an awfully limited release in my country). But now that you have mentioned it, I'm going to find me an .iso and play it in an emulator. 83~~~

I still have the console, but I lost all my games during a domestic accident involving my cat knocking off a really heavy bookshelf on top of the CD folder where I had all my Dreamcast discs stored. Only Shenmue survived. :C
And I'm with you on the Fable thing... I thought it was lovely... Not very keen on the fact that being an evil character made the game super-hard with the swarms of guards chasing you all the time, but other than that I'd place it #3 on my list of favorite RPGs.
Do you ever listen to chip tunes by any chance?
I'm curious which VG characters you cosplayed as :) I never did that myself.
