Fear not, you'll be better off because of these experiences if nothing else it will make an interesting twist in your biography. Try to stay positive and remember that it will all turn out for the best.

Heh, I just got done watching the Irresponsible Captain Tylor (since I wasn't able to do anything but lay in a truck bed for the last several days) and the main character had a similar life philosophy: just do whatever you feel is right and everything will work out regardless of consequences. On the positive side, I can now get back to working on my art, spend time with friends in my hometown, and eat good food. On the downside, I've lost another chance at paying off all my debts, and only made about $4-500 which will just barely pay back my mother for food costs getting me this far. T.T So I ended up not making a cent from this trip.

Your career is not over, don't give up on truck driving, look elsewhere. There are a ton of truckers on the road with accidents on their record, which means that you still have a chance. As long as you learn from this experience, you will be a much better driver down the road. Also, try appealing the decision as that may show them that you want the job and and will fight to keep it. You will never know unless you try.

I got into a small accident in the truck and that automatically got me fired.

You didn't kill anyone right?

All that happened was I got put on a small detour road during a snow storm and I had to make a right turn. There was a car in the other lane and I didn't want to hit him so I guess I took the turn too short and caught a lamp post with the corner of my trailer. No damage to anything, but the lamp post, and no one was hurt.

Sure, I now have a Class A license, but I only have 1 month of work experience. It doesn't look good on a resume.

Why not try Swift? They take all the noobie truck drivers (that's why they get a lot of jokes about that from the professional drivers)

I'm considering getting a job with a local company, if I can find one. I know there's a lot of J. B. Hunt trucks up where I live...
